IDA is moving from September to autumn, which unfortunately means that there will be no symposium in 2019. We are already planning IDA 2020 (www.ida2020.org) though and are looking forward to welcoming you in spring 2020 in Konstanz, Germany!

The proceedings can be found here (Springer’s LNCS, available until the end of December).

The Seventeenth International Symposium on Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA 2018) is held between 24th October and 26th October, 2018 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

When the IDA Symposium series started in 1995, it focused on the problem of end-to-end intelligent support for data analysis. Complementary to other mainstream conferences in data science, IDA’s mission is to promote ideas over performance: a solid motivation can be as convincing as exhaustive empirical evaluation. To this end, IDA creates an open atmosphere that encourages discussion and promotes innovative ideas in data analysis.

To accomplish this, IDA 2018 is offering new submission and presentation modalities, as well as new acceptance criteria and reviewer guidelines. We solicit full papers, short papers, posters, short videos, and slide decks. All submissions, of all types, will be peer reviewed following criteria that emphasize novelty and relevance over other factors. Please see the Call for Contributions for further details! The IDA Symposium, which is A-ranked according to ERA, is open to all kinds of modeling and analysis methods, irrespective of discipline. It is expected to be an interdisciplinary meeting that seeks abstractions that cut across domains.
